What's the difference between GEO, AEO, and AI SEO?
Mostly vendor branding for the same goal: being cited when AI engines answer your buyers' questions. GEO (generative engine optimization) is the term that's stuck for the overall discipline; AEO usually emphasizes answer-format content. I use AI SEO because buyers actually say it.
Does this replace our SEO program or run alongside it?
Alongside, and ideally as one program. The pages that rank are the pages that get cited, so the work overlaps heavily. Where it differs is off-site: engines weight reviews, communities, and editorial mentions differently than the classic link graph.
AI traffic is tiny for us today. Why invest now?
